About the Award

The late Bill Hargis and former Mayor of Woodbury 1993-2010 was an instrumental force to begin the Woodbury Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, later renamed Woodbury Area Prayer Breakfast.  Bill lived with 3 major priorities: 1. Faith, 2. Family, 3. Friends.  His leadership in Woodbury established the Woodbury Area Prayer Breakfast, the Woodbury Community Foundation, and he served the Woodbury Community in several faith and mission focused avenues.  This annual Award recognizes a servant community leader and an individual who leads with faith so that God receives the glory.  It is the opinion of the Woodbury Area Prayer Breakfast that this is the highest award and recognition a community leader in and around the Woodbury Community could receive.  We cherish all recipient’s for their leadership efforts and impact on the community!
